As a body of believers, we strive to advance the good news of Jesus Christ, to reach out to the lost and wounded among us, and to make our church a safe place for people to experience God's love and to be empowered for service through being conformed to His image. Children's Blessing

Lord, thank you for our children. May they know how much you love them. Lord, we surrender them and their futures to you; may their plans be inspired by you. Bless them with love and desire for you and for what is important to you. Surround them and their friends with your presence. Lord, encourage them and bring them your joy. Amen

Fellowship Time

From the Pastor's Desk

If you’ve walked with the Lord for a long time, you know that He cares deeply about your soul. You may have even started to realize how precious you are to Him. It’s likely that you’ve witnessed His provision when it seemed impossible to make ends meet. This week, the Lord reminded me that He’s interested in the business side of church. Of course, we know He is, but sometimes I need to be reminded that the business side of church is important to God too. The business part of church ministry can bring joy, just like the soul care of church ministry does. Three times last week, God showed me how much all the business stuff matters to Him. For God, it may not be a big deal, but because it matters to us, He’s there in the thick of it with us.

Remember when Jesus was in the midst of the storm with the disciples? They began to panic and went to Jesus, who was taking a nap during the entire ordeal. They woke Him up and asked Him to save them. It didn’t seem like Jesus cared much about what was happening in that boat at that moment. However, Jesus was in the middle of the storm with them, in the same boat. They were all in it together. What happened in that boat mattered to Jesus, even though it didn’t appear that way from the disciples’ perspective

What happens to us matters to Jesus. We can run to Him even though we might feel like He’s asleep and that the storm we’re in doesn’t matter to Him. You may have heard the saying that sometimes He calms the storm and sometimes He calms us; either way, He cares.  

When we encounter Jesus’ calming presence or His intervention during storms, let’s express our gratitude and share His remarkable deeds with others. I’ve noticed a growing trend among some individuals who perceive Jesus’ relevance as diminishing in today’s world. Perhaps, part of this disconnect stems from their lack of exposure to the stories of Jesus’ personal interactions and responses to their needs. Let’s rise up in praise and share the profound impact of Jesus’ actions, both in significant life events and in the everyday moments that shape our lives. While this may seem like a basic reminder, it’s essential to acknowledge that sometimes, we need to be reminded of the fundamental truths that guide our faith.
